With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Bob Garrison has helped thousands of patients straighten their teeth using braces and various other orthodontic procedures. Dr. Garrison, a native of South Carolina who spent his entire life there and whose father worked as a general dentist in Columbia, SC, was raised and educated there as well as in Lexington, where he ran a prosperous orthodontic practice for many years and treated more than 10,000 patients, including Nikki Haley, the daughter of the former governor of South Carolina and a former representative of the United States to the UN.
Dr. Garrison is thrilled to bring his many years of experience and passion for orthodontics to the Lowcountry with the opening of Coastal Orthodontics. Dr. Garrison sold his Lexington orthodontic practice to retire in Bluffton in 2016. He quickly understood that opening a brand-new orthodontic practice made sense in many ways. He has created a unique practice that offers patients and families the best possible orthodontic care and outstanding results, a fun environment, and a stress-free path to a beautiful smile.
He obtained his doctorate in medical dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and his degree in orthodontics from the Medical College of Georgia. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in biology.
